What is the WorldWidePhotoWall all about?

The question everyone asks. To be honest with you it is all about promoting a friendly World, and doing it in a fun way. I have been fortunate enough to exprerience many things, and the most important thing I have experienced is the human connection. In turn I wanted to create something that symbolized this connection. Over the years I have noticed how many people struggle to say hello or share a smile, and I don't believe this is because they want to be unfriendly. Rather everyone gets caught up in life and often forgets how important it is to share a smile. After all the Smile is the universal symbol of happiness. The WorldWidePhotoWall is a wall of smiling faces from all over the world, and what better way to display this symbol then on one of the biggest Billboard's in Hollywood. If nothing else the Billboard is going to look pretty cool! so pick a Square, Upload a photo, and link it to a page about you (i.e. your Blog).

It's Growing

The "Wall" is growing. We have been spreading the word and getting it out there to the community. Every person I talk to can relate on the "Friendly World" idea. The other day I was talking to a friendly girl who I had just met and as soon as I mentioned the fact that people didn't even say hello anymore she immediately agreed with me. She continued to tell me that she had conducted an experiment the week before. For an entire day she walked around smiling at everyone she looked at. Kind of crazy but also interesting. She said that a lot of people responded with a friendly hello, but others weren't sure what to do. All in all I think it shows that people want to be friendly but for some reasons they have become uncomfortable being friendly.

LAUNCH DAY APRIL 6TH 2007! FINALLY :) Welcome. My name is Julien and I am the founder of youSquare.Com and the World Wide Photo Wall. For the time being I will be dedicating my blog posts to the World Wide Photo Wall. I am very excited about the World Wide Photo Wall as it is a great event for the people of the world and businesses alike.

A little bit about me. I have spent the better part of my life traveling and living different places from Australia to Los Angeles. By age 20 I had attended three universities, played college football, become a pilot, and lived in multiple countries. Currently I live in San Diego, where I am finishing college. I have learned many things from my experiances and have always enjoyed meeting new people and creating new connections. One thing I noticed was that the smile is a universal symbol of happiness, no matter where you are in the world the smile symbolizes friendliness and the acknowledgement of another human being.

This leads me to the World Wide Photo Wall. I needed to launch my new website youSquare.Com, but lacking an advertising budget I needed to be creative. Not only did I want to launch youSquare by I wanted to create a one of a kind event that was innovative and meaningful. What better way to do this then to create a photo wall of friendly faces, and take this wall and place it on one of the most valuable billboards in America. Growing up in Los Angeles, I knew Hollywood was the spot because we would all love to see our photo in such a glamorous place. Everyone on the wall will get a photo on the Hollywood Billboard, however the Squares with the 9 most clicks will get a life-size photo on the wall. So it’s up to you to get the clicks and get your life-size photo on your Hollywood Billboard.

In order for this to work though we need you to get as many people as you can on the Wall and to the Wall. If we do that we'll get the much needed advertisers to get they're AdSpace we are proud to offer a first in the advertising world. This is the first time advertisers will be able to place an ad on a website and then see there ad on a high profile Billboard.
